IMI - Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
(ADAS) - Calibration (AOM230)
AOM230 is intended for technicians whose job role involves working with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
It demonstrates the technician’s ability to identify and correctly interpret information relating to a specific vehicle and its ADAS features to determine which method of calibration is required to return the vehicle to OEM tolerances and specification, in compliance with BS 10125 and IIR.

Electric Vehicle Technician Full Route
The IMI Electric Vehicle Accreditation route is designed for technicians whose job role involves the inspection, maintenance and repair of electric / hybrid vehicles. They are also for technicians involved in accident repair, including MET, Panel, Paint and vehicle damage assessment.
There is one level within IMI Accreditation Electric Hybrid Vehicle.

IMI - Level 1 Award in Electric Hybrid Vehicle Awareness

With the growing popularity of Hybrid Electric Vehicles, there is an increasing need for industry training on HEV Safety and Awareness.
This qualification is designed to provide the candidate with a good understanding of the hazards involved when operating and working around Hybrid Electric Vehicles. There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however an interest in the subject area is preferable.

IMI - Level 2 Award - Technical Specialist in Electric Hybrid Vehicle Routine Maintenance Activities

This Level 2 Award is to determine that the candidate is able to make the vehicle safe through the removal of any high voltage safety devices (typically switch or plug) to allow the vehicle to be worked on to carry out maintenance and repair procedures. The candidate will need to follow any procedures to ensure the high voltage system has been isolated. Reversing the process to re-instate the vehicle.

IMI - Level 3 Award - Technical Specialist Electric Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement

The Level 3 Award is designed to give the skills and knowledge to safely prepare the vehicle for work, carry out testing and repair activities, this course compliments current industry qualifications providing candidates with an IMI certified qualification allowing safe working practices whilst working on high voltage vehicles and removing and replacing system components on a non-live vehicle.
